Wine, culture and leisure at Château Vartely

The Museum Complex "Orheiul Vechi", it's a museum in open space. It contains the remains of different civilizations: in stony caves it is certified the presence of the first human establishments, lasting from a few thousands of years. In V-III centuries B.C. there was a powerful Dacia fortress. The place is famous as well for its cave monasteries. 

“Château Vartely” is a modern company, it combines the latest technology in grape cultivation and processing with the passion for quality wine production. The Touristic Complex “Château Vartely” charms with its distinct architecture and represents a truly picturesque delight.

Lunch will be served by the winery. The menu of the restaurant skilfully combines food from European cuisine with best Moldovan gourmet food. Depending on weather conditions an outdoor seating can be arranged.

Depending on availability are offered the following activities:
#1 Visit of a local artisan, producing Bucium, an authentic type of alphorn. Watching all stages of wood processing and assembling of the bucium. Having the possibility to buy souvenirs made from wood.
#2 Visit of a local carpet factory, learning about traditional carpet weaving, having the possibility to buy authentic carpets and runners.
