The legendary event "The Wine Vernissage" will offer this spring to all passionate and amateurs - the most appreciated seasonal wines, new and collectible ones. The 12th edition, entitled " Vernisaj în vals de primăvară ", (Vernissage in Waltz rhythms) will take place on Thursday, April 27, at "Capitoles Park".
The event will take place in a pleasant spring atmosphere, the concept being inspired by the famous masterpiece of the great composer Eugen Doga - the waltz "My Affectionate and Tender Beast".
Visitors of the event will taste hundreds of premium quality wines typical of the season - white and rosé, exhibited by a record number of wineries, all united under one single country brand – Wine of Moldova. Along with 37 consecrated wineries, another 10 wineries will exhibit at the Vernissage for the first time, launching for the first time their high-quality wines on the local market. Every visitor of the event will receive a free glass with the "Wine of Moldova" logo, perfect for discovering and properly enjoy the taste and aroma of fine wines, and a brochure for the tasting notes. As well, guests will have the opportunity to buy preferred wines directly from producers at special prices, and to participate in various contests.
The event will give the tone to the spring-summer season to all wine lovers, focusing on rose wines of remarkable quality. These will be selected by a panel of international experts in a competition called "Rose Competition". Among the members of the jury are: Nathalie Pouzalgues, an oenologist at the Rose Research Center, France (the only rose wine research center in the world), Robert Joseph – world renown wine expert, author and journalist (founder of London International Wine Challenge, and editor of Meininger Wine Business International), Brigitte Leloup - Maitre Sommelier, Vice President of the European Sommelier Association, and other world-class experts. The rose wines selected by the jury will be proposed for tasting at the Vernissage and will be promoted on the local and external market.
The 12th edition of the Wine Vernissage is part of an extensive communication campaign initiated by NOVW, called "Roses of Moldova", which will continue in a new wave of the program Wine Friendly. This will take place from May to July under the generic "La vie en rose". The program will include numerous wine training courses, a training course for European Sommelier accreditation, special wine offers in accredited restaurants and a serie of tasting masterclasses that have already become a tradition.
