The “Assumption of Our Lady” Church in Causeni
The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church is situated 80 km south-east of Chisinau. Some scientists believe that this church was constructed in XV-XVI centuries, while others allege that it appeared in XVII-XVIII centuries. The exact date when the only church with wall frescos in Bessarabia was built is not known (in the 15th century). Monastery “Dormition of the Mother of the God”, Capriana
The encyclopaedia “Literature and Art of Moldova” (edition of the year 1985) provides a reference that Capriana Monastery was founded during the reign of Alexandru cel Bun (1399-1432), and got reconstructed by Stefan cel Mare (years of reign 1457-1504) prior to the year 1470 that is usually considered its foundation. Monastery “Ascension of the God”, Noul Neamt
The lands that host Noul Neamt monastery at present belonged in XIX century to Neamt Lavra in Romania (founded in XIV century). The construction of a new replica monastery was insisted upon by the Head of Bessarabia Lavra estates Arch-monk Theophanous and the Spiritual leader of the Larva Arch-monk Andronicus. In the year 1859 they dispatched a petition pertaining to construction of Neamt monastery in the Lavra’s estate Chitcani, to which they got the consent of the Russian Tsar in the year 1864.

Monastery “Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary”, Curchi
The monastery was established in the years 1773-1775 by Boyar Iordache Curchi from Marazini settlement onto the lands that once belonged to his grandfather.
