Gogu Winery – Tradition, Terroir, and Premium Wines from Căușeni
Founded by Ilie Gogu, Gogu Winery is rooted in four generations of passionate winemakers, transforming a family dream into a success story. Located in Căușeni, within the Ștefan Vodă wine region, the winery produces premium wines that showcase the unique terroir of southeastern Moldova.
Under the guidance of Ilie Gogu, a renowned winemaker with over a decade of experience as chief technologist, every step of the winemaking process – from planting the vines to bottling – is carefully managed. The vineyards feature native varieties such as Feteasca Albă, Feteasca Regală, Viorica, and Riton, alongside European classics like Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Red wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Saperavi, Feteasca Neagră, and Malbec.
Since their market debut in 2014, Gogu Winery's wines have earned international acclaim, winning gold medals at prestigious competitions like the Asia Wine Trophy and Berliner Wine Trophy.
Visitors are welcomed to explore the winery’s modern tasting room, located in the Gogu family courtyard, where they can enjoy wines paired with traditional local dishes in a warm, authentic setting.
Guests can visit the Winery only with prior confirmed reservations. Prices are per person and do not include transport from Chișinău to the winery. Upon request, transportation can be arranged for an additional cost, ensuring a hassle-free journey to the winery.
