"Spring, spring, I recall for how many times...” - with this laitmoiv awaits visitors the Wine Vernissage at its 14th edition. The legendary event of the middle of spring, dedicated to "Wine of Moldova", will take place on April 20, at 6 PM, at Casa Sărbătorii (Ghioceilor Street 1).
The Wine Vernissage is organized by the National Office for Vine and Wine (ONVV), in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Association of Producers of PGI Wine Products ”Codru”, ”Valul lui Traian”, ”Stefan Voda”, ”Divin” and with the support of the strategic partner of the event, the Moldova Competitiveness Project, financed by USAID and the Swedish Government.
This spring edition will be held in a special atmosphere created by the emblematic hits of the 70s and 80s from the repertoire of ”Noroc” band and the performers Stefan Petrache, Sofia Rotaru and Iurie Sadovnic, interpreted by Tania Cerga and "Akord" band.
Visitors will be greeted with a glass of white or rose wine, which they will later use for tasting the Wine of Moldova, along with a guide in which they will be listing all the wines present at the Vernissage.
For the first time at this edition of the Wine Vernissage, a record number of 51 wine companies from the regions with Protected Geographical Indication, reunified under the unique brand "Wine of Moldova. A living legend", will participate.
Thus, the following wine producers: "Maurt", "Agrici.wine", "Chateau Vartely", "Vinuri Ialoveni", "Vindicum", "Garling", "Migdal-P”, "Milestii Mici", "Mimi Castle", "Nis Struguras", "Doina Vin", "Alianta Vin", "Hincesti Winery", "Cricova", will be present from the regions with Protected Geographical Indication.
From the "Stefan-Voda" Protected Geographical Indication region, the following wineries will offer wine for tasting: "Purcari", "Radacini", "Basavin", "Timbrus", "Salcuta" and "Suvorov Vin", at the same time the ”Valul lui Traian” Protected Geographical Indication region will be representing "Bostavan", "Podgoria Vin", "Fautor", "Novac", "Vinia Traian", "Vinaria din Vale", "DK Intertrade" ","Vinuri de Comrat”, ”Tomai Vinex", "Gitana" and "Divine" Protected Geographical Indication region will be present with "Bardar" and "Calarasi Divin".
In addition, the visitors of the Wine Vernissage will also be able to taste wines produced by 10 small winemakers: "DAC Winery", "Carpe Diem", "Teba Prim", "Gogu Winery", "Equinox", "ATU Winery", "Mezalimpe", "Unicorn Estate", "Minis Terrios", "Mihai Sava", "Fragolino", "Kara Gani", "EtCetera", "Noble Winery", "Nicolae Iurco", "Aghenie Tudor", "Leuntea Vin", ”THG Tronciu".
The Wine Vernissage is a traditional biennial event and represents a unique promotion platform and an efficient launching of domestic winemaking products. In the 14th edition, 250 young wines and collection wines will be offered for tasting and dozens of new wines will be launched. Guests will be able to take part in wine tastings guided by professional sommeliers that will be held at the National Office of Vine and Wine. Visitors will also be offered a real sensory experience - interactive wine tasting exercises from local varieties, obtained by microvinification by ONVV experts, where they will learn, using special barrels of dozens of flavors, to identify the aromas characteristic of Wine of Moldova.
Traditionally, in the spring edition of the Vernissage, there will be awarded the best season wines voted by the guests of the event, being awarded the "Vernissage in White" and "Vernissage in Rose" trophies.
The Tickets for the Wine Vernissagecan be purchased on iticket.md for 250 lei. On the day of the event the tickets can be bought at the specially arranged entrances to Casa Sarbatorii.
