Moldovan honey is natural and tasty and the acquaintance with its production process is a very interesting experience. In the village Răciula, next to the Monastery, Stegărescu family has opened the Honey House, where guests are able to see a small family of bees in glass beehives.
The owner, Mr. Constantin Stegărescu is pleased to guide visitors through the process of collection and processing of honey and to explain the many ways of use of the honey and honey products. Also, visitors can taste different types of honey, with walnuts and homemade wine, to mould their own souvenir figures of bee wax, and, of course, to buy the preferred type of honey.
Tastings are held on a terrace - a wooden porch, adorned with vintage objects. Ms. Stegărescu will proudly show her collection of 200 unique Moldovan embroidered towels, over a century old.
Whether you adore the taste of honey or use it for healing purposes, a getaway to the guesthouse in the village Răciula will leave you with many impressions. The apiarist family from the Honey House knows how to surprise each visitor.
